The car
enters the marvelous hush of the magestic Andes. The transition from the
high tropical cloud forest to the zone above timber lovel, called te "Paramo"
begins. To the right you can see the steep walls of El Toro peak (4.756
meters) and from the rear of the car, a panoramic view of the northern
side of the Sierra Nevada. This ascent take 12 minutes.
